Buy a framed print of Greg Smolonski’s photo of The Sheldonian Theatre in Oxford’s city centre. Taken at ground level on the cobbles, the photo looks up to the theatre glowing in the sunshine with a brilliant blue sky. The Sheldonian Theatre is the official ceremonial hall of the University of Oxford. As well as university ceremonies such as graduation it’s used for music concerts and lectures but never for drama. It was commissioned by Gilbert Sheldon, Archbishop of Canterbury in 1664 and designed by Christopher Wren, who also designed St Paul’s Cathedral in London.
